2 Day Mountain Marathon or 1 Day Raid (Sunday only)
combined with the FFCO(Fédération Française de Course d'Orientation)
Championnat de France (2 Day) and Classement O'TOUR (1 Day) competitions
FIMM 2016
Under a new name, but still the fantastic French Mountain Marathon organised by Jacques Amiot since 2000,
the event moves to Ornans, a picturesque small town located in the North Western part of the Jura Mountains on the River Loue.
Extract from the April 2016 edition of CompassSport (page 7) As usual, the organiser Jacques Amiot, will have planned interesting courses, all score, which will involve some technical orienteering since the event forms part of the FFCO (Fédération Française de Course d'Orientation) Championnat de France. Adrian and I have completed 15 Euro KIMM / Alpine KIMM / OMM France events, and it remains one of our favourite mountain marathons, because of its friendly, informal atmosphere, because it’s organised superbly by the same friendly, helpful, enthusiastic team each year, in glorious weather with wonderful scenery, no midges, no tussock grass, no bogs, and no peat hags. The camp-fire and free Génépy (a French herbal liqueur) at the mid camp really does make it seem like a holiday. Come and join us!
