Late Information
Junior Classes: Some of the earlier event publicity indicates the availability of the new style JM/W1, etc junior classes. Since the Sunday Regional Event is also the Welsh Championships, it is necessary to offer the National Event style badge classes M/W10A/B, etc, so that we can determine the champion in each age class.
Novice Classes: Due to the technical difficulty of Mynydd Llagynidr (day 2) it has not been possible to offer the M/W21N classes. However the M/W21V (very short) classes are available.
Welsh Championship Eligibility - set CYM
If you are eligible for the Welsh Championships on day 2 ensure the your GBR country is set to "CYM" in step 2. If you are not eligible please ensure "CYM" is not set (leave blank or set ENG, SCO or NI).
Eligibility (WOA Constitution, Appendix A) for the Welsh Orienteering
Championships shall be:
EITHER (a) by birth - either self or one parent born in Wales;
OR (b) by residence - at least one
year's current permanent residence in Wales;
AND (c) membership of the Association
[at the date of the Championships].
Short Open Championship Day1 Courses
2 courses are on offer on day 1: Easy and Championship. Your course is automatically allocated as follows:
Easy (Yellow standard TD2) : M/W10A/B, M/W12 A/B, M/W14A/B, White, Yellow, Orange
Championship (Short Light Green standard TD4): M/W16A/B, M/W18L/S - M/W75L/S, M/W21V, Light Green.
Preferred Start Time
In step 3 there is an option to select your preferred start time (Any, Early, Middle, Late). This is applicable to day 2 only since you are able to start when you like on day 1 (between 14:00 and 16:00).
FAQ
Q/ How do I enter day 1 only?
A/ Enter using your normal badge (or colour coded) class but deselect the day 2 tick in step 3.
Q/ How can I enter a day1 course which doesn't match the above allocation? E.g. I'm M14A but I wish to run the Championship course on day 1.
A/ Assuming you wish to run both days, enter your details twice in step 2. In step 3 allocate one of your names to M14A with day 2 ticked, allocate your other name to the Colour Coded course that matches your preference (e.g. Light Green in this case to be allocated to the Championship course) with day 1 ticked.
Q/ I wish to enter a Colour Coded course but it is not visible in step 2.
A/ The Preferred Class field is for your preferred badge class (if any). Select your colour coded course when you get to step 3.
